Design, Fabrication and Testing the performance of the Co-Flow Jet control airfoil (2016)
Advisor- Mr. Harikant Bansal
This project involves the designing of a modified CFJ airfoil and its experimental testing. The baseline airfoil used is NACA6415. The idea is to generate a small vortex with the help of mixing two different velocity jet, which will enhance the aerodynamic efficiency of the airfoil. Our work showed significant improvement in lift coefficient, which is about 1.27 times, decrement in Coefficient of Drag to about 0.75 times and stall angle almost same as that of baseline airfoil.
Numerical investigation of performance of wave energy impulse turbine using the fillets shapes (2018-2021)
Advisor- Dr. Abdus Samad
The whole project uses the commercial software ANSYS-CFX by integrating the different fillet shapes to the wave energy harvesting impulse turbine. The study was done at several flow coefficients to investigate its performance and losses on applying the fillet shapes.
